This masterclass will include an overview of bone biology and principles of fracture healing (including primary and secondary bone healing). The discussion will involve AO principles of fracture management with emphasis on absolute and relative stability of fractures.
This masterclass would give you an insight of an on-call day! Participants would be divided into focused groups for case based discussions. The idea is to create a simulated environment for essential trauma meetings!

This masterclass will provide an overview of management of compartment syndrome, open fractures, necrotising fascitis, septic arthritis and other frequently encountered emergencies during orthopaedic on-calls!
This masterclass will entail an overview of spinal emergencies with emphasis on management of cauda-equina syndrome and traumatic spinal injuries.
This master session will involve an overview of important paediatric emergencies and non-accidental injuries.

These interactive group sessions will provide an overview of polytrauma management with ATLS guidelines.
This masterclass will entail the role of Orthogeriatrics in management of trauma patients; overview of ISOBAR approach, interpretation of ECG/chest x-rays and management of commonly encountered medical scenarios in relation to trauma patients.

Participants will be divided into focused group and provided with an overview of indications and technique for joint aspirations and intra-articular injections (emphasis on commonly involved joints of upper and lower limbs).
These interactive sessions will emphasise on identification of dislocated joints (hip/ knee/shoulder/elbow) with emphasis on joint reduction techniques, and management of fracture dislocations.

Overview of Practical Orthopaedic Skills Course (Pr.OSK) - Aims and Learning Outcomes.
This session will entail an overview of casting material and cast safety involved in application of cast with emphasis on factors affecting the adequacy of cast application.
This masterclass will entail an overview of fracture reduction techniques with emphasis on distal radius and ankle fracture. A brief overview of orthotics and splints (how to use and when to use!)
Application of upper and lower limb back-slabs will be demonstrated to candidates as an interactive masterclass!

Candidates will demonstrate the application of upper and lower limb back-slabs under supervision!

This master session will give an overview of modes of plate and screw fixation including lag screw techniques; enable candidates to identify between cortical vs. cancellous screws.
Candidates will demonstrate plate fixation and lag screw technique on dry bone models.

This master session will provide an overview of principles of compression/DHS fixation; indications and operative technique.
Candidates will demonstrate the DHS fixation techniques on dry bone models.
