Practical Orthopaedic Skills Course is offered as part of the Orthopaedic On-Calls Survival Course accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England for up to 12 CPD points and recognised by the North West Core Surgical Training, Severn and Scotland Deaneries. This one-day course will have 06 CPD points accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
This one-day practical course will allow the candidates to demonstrate the principles of fracture management, with emphasis on the biomechanics of screws and plates and surgical techniques for DHS fixation, lag screw insertion and application of external fixator devices. The course will also offer plastering sessions for commonly applied back slabs and simulation sessions for joint aspirations.
